Hunting and Fishing in Devils Lake

There are ample ways for recreational opportunities in Devils Lake. Root for local sports teams, shoot some hoops, dig into sand volleyball or play a round of golf. It’s all right here in Devils Lake.

Cheer for Local Sports

Throughout the four seasons, the local Devils Lake Firebirds play hockey, basketball, baseball, soccer, softball, volleyball and more at Devils Lake Sports Complex, about two miles from Fireside Inn & Suites. Bring the family, munch on concession fare and root for kids who are playing their best for hometown pride.

Venture into the Great Outdoors

As North Dakota’s largest natural body of water, Devils Lake ranks among the top five fishing lakes in the country and is brimming with walleye, northern pike, perch, and white bass.  Surrounding wilderness or wildlife nature preserves make for a fun day of adventuring or hunting. Nearby parks provide endless hiking trails and inviting spots to play basketball, sand volleyball or disc golf. Speaking of golf, Creel Bay Golf Course offers 18 holes along the shores of the lake and a club house to relax and relive your finest shots.
